Property Management Duties

Property management refers to the individual or company that oversees the operation of residential and commercial properties. The function of the property manager involves overseeing all maintenance needs, advertising vacancies, approving tenants though background and credit checks, and accepting rent. Property management companies may also manage homeowners associations and all construction and development on the property. Example of property managers include the landlord of a four unit apartment building and the management company of a 500 unit shopping mall.
